Super Rugby Pacific round 10 Delayed -Mona Pasifika VS Force

The Super Rugby Pacific round 10 match between Moana Pasifika and Western Force has been postponed due to COVID cases in the Force squads.

The Medical Advisory Group of Super Rugby's Pacific has decided to postpone this match, which was scheduled for 22 April as part of the Melbourne Super Round, due to a large part of the Force squad not being available for selection.

The Super Rugby Pacific competition officials are upset to postpone another match of the season, but the decision was taken for the health and well-being of players and staff.

Every effort has been made to ensure this game can be played as part of the Melbourne Super Round, but with the high numbers of Western Forces line-up unavailable, this is just not possible.

Force chief executive Tony Lewis said protecting the health and well-being of players as well as the integrity of the club and the game was paramount.

Lewis said both clubs had missed the super rugby pacific first super-round match, especially for Moana Pasifika, who was dealing with a fourth postponement of the season, which was disappointing.

Lewis said we have tried to help push this game forward, despite considering multiple player replacement options; the affected player's ratio is high.

We appreciate Moana Pasifika for their understanding, and we will meet with them in the future.
