The 2025 Rugby Championship is back for its 14th edition! This exciting tournament brings together the sport's top four teams from the southern hemisphere: South Africa's Springboks, New Zealand's All Blacks, Argentina's Los Pumas, and Australia's Wallabies. It's truly the ultimate showdown that really puts rugby in the Southern Hemisphere on the map.
This competition, which started out as the Tri Nations, is now a key proving ground where champions are made, rivalries heat up, and teams have to prove their mettle under the toughest conditions.
While the Six Nations gets plenty of attention up north, the Rugby Championship down south has its own unique vibe—the games are faster, the hits are harder, and that relentless pace has produced many Rugby World Cup winners.
The Format & Schedule
Every team will face each other twice—once at home and once away—in a total of 12 matches for each team. These games will take place between August and early October of 2025. There's a special treat this year: in the final round, Argentina and South Africa will meet up at Twickenham Stadium in London. This will be a neutral ground showdown, giving fans in the northern hemisphere a fantastic opportunity to witness the incredible skills of southern hemisphere teams up close.
