In the 2011 Super Rugby competition, the Blues defeated the Crusaders at Eden Park by a score of 24-22. Recently, in 2021, Super Rugby Aotearoa played eight games, from which they won only four matches, whereas, in the Super Rugby Trans-Tasman 2021 event, they became a defending champion.
